Writer and director Luc Beson does it again. A smart action movie with a great cast and endless (good) plot twists that keep you engaged for the whole 2h long movie.
Anna Poliatova (Sasha Luss) is a strikingly beautiful Russian with a secret that will make her one of the world’s most feared government assassins.
Don’t get me wrong, Sasha plays the perfect assassin, but she isn’t the one that makes this movie interesting. Olga (Helen Mirren) is a perfect character that goes unnoticed for most of the movie.
Helen Mirren is a genius! I didn’t even notice that it was her who’s playing Olga until the credits rolled in. A perfect transformation that only made the movie even more interesting.
Honestly, I am not sure why it took me so long to watch Anna. I blame the pandemic, and Luce Beson.
Should you watch it?
Action, spies, assassins, and a lot of sex scenes. Do i need to say more?
Well, just to make it better, Helen Mirren and Luke Evans take a significant role in this action movie, and it only makes Anna’s story even better.
Europe surely knows how to make a great spy movie without all the explosions and bells and whistles that Hollywood is known for (sadly).
Where can I watch it?
This movie is currently available on Prime Video as part of your Amazon Prime subscription.
