Haunted Mansion [2023] – LaKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson

Haunted Mansion is a fun blend of horror and comedy with a great cast and a story that is entertaining regardless of having experienced the ride.

Personally, I haven’t been to a Disney Park yet. But after watching this movie, I can see the allure. Horror, ghosts, comedy, and a funny cast. What do you need more?

Yes, the movie is a bit too long. And yes, some parts could have been tightened up, but that doesn’t negate the fact that it’s still a fun movie to watch.

Directed by Justin Simien, all the characters are lovable…even when you want to hate them. Smaller children might find it a little scary, but it was just my level of scare as an adult.

Prejudice aside, I was pleasantly surprised. Disney has had the best of luck lately with their projects. And considering that this movie suffered from lack of promotion due to the ongoing strikes, it was surprisingly good and entertaining. I would definitely watch it again.

Should You Watch It?

Disney’s Haunted Mansion is a family version of Ghostbusters. In fact, I must disagree with the critics. Yes, it’s nothing original, but it’s a great movie to watch.
