Me Time on Netflix is supposed to be a comedy movie with three talented stars. Sadly, I never laughed. Not a single time.
It’s like Netflix gave up on producing enjoyable content. Every couple of months, we get a new “comedy” movie that is worse than the one before it. And recently, it’s becoming a trend to feature Kevin Hart in them. Remember The Man From Toronto? I really wish I didn’t. But that movie is comedic gold compared to this mess.
At least, I managed to get a few laughs out of the other one. However, in the case of this one, I have no idea what Mark Wahlberg and Regina Hall were thinking when they said yes to it. It’s an unfortunate mistake to even approve it. And the result is an unfiltered mess straight from the beginning. Three minutes into the thing, and you already know every single scene. And if you don’t, it’s easier to predict it than remembering that Netflix logo is red.
If you’re inexplicably hungry to see stars wasted on a desperately unfunny comedy, Me Time might be the movie of the year. It’s like Netflix gave Kevin Hart a bunch of money and asked him to make enough movies to finish every viewer’s checklist about what degrading thing he will do next.
Should you watch it?
No. Not Really. Never, unless you run out of anything else to watch. If you’ve seen a Kevin Hart movie in the last 5 years, you’ve seen them all. Me Time doesn’t even try to do anything original.
Where can I watch it?
You can stream Me Time exclusively on Netflix.
