Escort Boys – Season One – French Series [2023] on Prime Video

Escort Boys uses the sexual title to attract viewers into the wonderful world of french country side. Yes, it’s a sexual show, but that’s not what makes it special.

Starring Guillaume Labbé as Ben, Thibaut Evrard as Ludo, Corentin Fila as Zack and Simon Ehrlacher as Matias, the four men start an escorting buisness with the help of Ben’s sister Charly (Marysole Fertard) as a last effort to save Ben and Charly’s family farm.

Background stories, beautiful scenary, and sexual fantasies, the show has it all. In addition, instead of focusing on the sexual aspect, the show infuses comedy into its multi layered characters. Ben and Charly wants to save their parents’ farm. Matias loves his job, but he needs to support his sick mother. Ludo’s marriage is stale, and he can’t hold on to a job, and Zack, he’s the spoiler man-child that needs to grow up and find his footing in the world… as well as discover how to treat women properly.

There’s a lot to unpack there. Yes, I loved the homoerotic sexual tensions and visuals, but what I also loved is how director Ruben Alves managed to add multiple layers to a basic premise that could have gone way wrong. Can’t wait for another season, or three.

Escort Boys is one of those easy to watch shows that attracts you for a reason, and then gives you much more. Attractive men, sex, french countryside, and a wonderful story to hold it all together.
