Legendary – Season 3 [2022]

Legendary - Season 3

Not the most balanced seasons over all, HBO Max’s Legendary ups the game in season 3 with a small refresh in the judging panel.

The houses are back, the audience is back, and Legendary is back, full swing. In this seasons, productions are bigger than ever, egos are bigger than ever, audience is the most engaged, and the jury as confusing as ever.

In fact, as much as I was said for Megan Thee Stallion not being a judge this season, I honestly didn’t miss her. If anything, Keke Palmer filled those shoes and more. She was probably the most non-technical balanced judge this season while giving great and detailed feedback. The opposite of Law Roach who’s feedback was basically heavily influenced by who he wants to sleep with. It’s sad.

As usual, Leiomy Maldonado was the main judge and influencer this season and as graceful as ever. Side note, hey Dashaun, if you’re reading this, slide into our DMs.

On the other side, the 10 new houses weren’t all equal. As early as the first episode, it was clear that one of the houses is too good compared to the others, and the judges weren’t hiding it. Even Jameela Jamil asks at some point: “why are we here? Can’t we just give them the money and leave”? To be honest, other than the special treatment from Law for one of the houses, I have to agree 🤷🏻‍♂️. #NoSpoilers.

As for the next season, producers need to make sure to get actual musical performances, not whatever that was mid-season.
