Salon Zahra – صالون زهرة – Season Two [2022]

Salon Zahra - صالون زهرة - Season Two

Season two of Salon Zahra on Shahid is forced. Yes, it’s fun, but lots of filler makes it feel a bit lost and imbalanced.

Nadine Nassib Njeim & Moatasem Al-Nahar are back in one of the best Arabic series on Shahid. However, the forced plot line and the missing character developments made this season a bit off. I wish it were an actual continuation of the first installment. Some new plots, some recycled plots, Zahra is way more relaxed and way less cliché in this season.

Instead of going into thirty plus minutes of dancing, director Joe Bou Eid should have focused a bit more on the sub plots and character arcs. Like for example, Zahra opening another barber shop made no sense. Her father starts as an antagonist and somehow switches to being friendly. What’s the reason? Your guess is as good as mine. Same for her sister. She’s suddenly Zahra 2.0 from season one.

However, the family visit was everything! It’s the typical levantine family with all the food and bickering. Loved it!

Salon Zahra – صالون زهرة – Season Two
Should you watch it?

Charming as ever. Even though I still prefer the first season, Salon Zahra 2 manages to get away with a lot of things thanks to the chemistry between its stars and music. Lots and lots of music.

Where can I watch it?

You can stream Salon Zahra – صالون زهرة exclusively on Shahid.
