Did we really need a new season of The Mandalorian? Not really. Did I enjoy the third outing from the Star Wars franchise? Mostly yes.
The Mandalorian on Disney+ is the flagship series of the Star Wars revival. However, its main storyline ended with the second season back in 2021. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it certainly wasn’t what I saw.
Instead of continuing the story of Din Jarin (Pedro Pascal) mentoring Grogu, we get a story that is trying to do too much, and Grogu gets lost in the mud.
Getting back to their home planet, saving Navarro, and explaining the gigantic black hole of events between the first two trilogies. That’s a lot of threads to untangle and weave together.
Thankfully, creator Jon Favreau does an impressive job weaving most of it together in this season, while managing to give us traditional Star Wars battles at some point.
Should you watch it?
Even when the story doesn’t make much sense, I really enjoyed the father and son relationship between Mando and Grogu and how they managed to save each other in different events. However, I really don’t want a fourth season.
Where can I watch it?
You can stream all seasons of The Mandalorian exclusively on Disney+ everywhere.
