With season three, The Morning Show takes a turn towards corporate drama and recent true events. As entertaining as it is, the show is starting to run out of steam.
Let me be clear. Season three of The Morning Show is by far better than the second outing. But it’s obvious that the show is running out of ideas and stories to tell.
What started as a serialized version of the #MetToo movement is turning now into a women led version of Succession. Yes, it’s better than the other show, but it’s becoming tiresome and extremely predictable.
From looping in January 6th events in a way that makes no sense, all the way to a tech billionaire trying to purchase the flagship network and a side of love affairs, this season had a lot of plots (and sub plots) to keep it going.
Yes, it was confusing at times to understand what was going on, but in general, it was good tv. I suspect that AppleTV+ will be renewing the show for a fourth season if they haven’t already, but i sure hope it to be its final outing.
Should You Watch It?
This season stands on the shoulders of Billy Crudup and Reese Witherspoon. That’s it. Everyone else is playing supporting roles until the last episode where Jennifer Aniston steals the show. However, I hope they wrap it up before the show turns sour.
Where Can I Watch It?
You can stream both seasons of The Morning Show exclusively on Apple TV+.
