Movies
Quick movie, film, and documentary reviews from all around the world by and for the regular audience.
The Courier [2020]
The Courier delivers an exciting old-school spy adventure elevated by a thrilling fact-based story. My favorite movie of 2020 by far.
The Witches [2020]
Even Octavia Spencer couldn’t save The Witches from being another useless and easily forgettable adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 1983 novel.
Dune [2021]
Dune over promises and under delivers especially for the viewers that haven’t read the books, myself included.
Afterlife of the Party [2021]
Afterlife of the Party is a predictable movie that I really enjoyed watching.
Breaking News in Yuba County [2021]
Stars Allison Janney and Mila Kunis aren’t even trying to be everyone’s cup of tea. And that’s what makes this movie so good!
The Marksman [2021]
The Marksman is sadly another forgettable movie by Liam Neeson built on the assumption that you can keep making TAKEN inspired sequels.
No Time To Die [2021]
No Time to Die shines with the amazing stunts and cast but lacks on the story side with some major plot holes.
Infinite [2021]
Forcing Infinite to be streaming only didn’t help it case. And this movie needs a lot of help.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage [2021]
Sony (and Marvel’s) favorite symbiote is back with Venom: Let There Be Carnage. However, I’m not sure it’s the movie the fans wanted.
The Croods: A New Age [2020]
The Croods: A New Age shines when it doesn’t take itself seriously. Instead, it takes a jab at hipsters of the stone age.
Cinderella [2021]
This is what happens when the push for content in the streaming wars takes a bad turn.
Godzilla vs Kong [2021]
In the ultimate battle to become the alpha of the Titans, Godzilla vs Kong brings amazing cinematography to an otherwise, basic story.
Jolt [2021]
Despite a crackling premise and a star who’s always ready for action, Jolt never manages to deliver much more than a mild buzz.
