Solos is not a series, it’s a psychological journey with amazing cast that’s totally worth going thru, even if the ending is jaw dropping.
Amazon’s original series have been mostly a miss rather than a hit. But lately, we’re getting one of the best shows and movies on any streaming platform. Solos is the new project from writer and producer David Weil, who created Amazon Prime’s Jewish vengeance fantasy Hunters (another amazing show!). However, looking at Solos’ cast, you’ll know it’s different!
With Morgan Freeman, Dan Stevens, Uzo Aduba, Nicole Beharie, Dan Stevens, Anne Hathaway, Anthony Mackie, Helen Mirren, and Constance Wu. Just to name a few.
This limited series takes you on a journey of love and grief, selfishness, and selfness. Even if it wasn’t an easy watch, I really enjoyed the seven unique character-driven stories. Each story and each character set off on an adventure in an uncertain future and they’ll come to reckon that even during our most isolated moments, we are all connected.
As much as I enjoyed the dystopian show, I must admit that some episodes just felt like a big dud. Uzo Aduba’s episode was just phenomenal! It just felt too real. As well as Constance Wu’s. You won’t be able to hold your tears. However, Nicole’s Beharie’s episode was just…. boring.
And yes….. no! We won’t spoil it for you. You’ll have to watch it first.
Should you watch it?
Are you a Black Mirror fan? If the answer is yes, then this show is for you. If not, you’ll need a break after each episode and a box of tissues in some cases, but It’s still worth the watch. It’s an escape from the clamor and noise.
Where can I watch it?
You can stream Solos exclusively on Prime Video.
