Season 4 of The Traitors US from Peacock has the best cast for a psychological game. But the season fizzles out faster than a drunk chugging bottomless mimosas at a Sunday brunch.
This is probably the least interesting season from the US franchise of the traitors to be honest. Season 3 was great, and this iteration was supposed to deliver on even more drama, but the production made a crucial mistake in casting, and in choosing the traitors.
On the plus side, this season seems to be the least “inspired” by its UK counterpart. For the past 3 years, the US franchise seemed like a more boring clone of the BBC’s version. Thankfully, they changed some things this year.
On the other hand, the production made two crucial mistakes. Yes, the secret traitor was genius, but casting the mom of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend wasn’t. That was a typically American “influencer with no essence” move. In addition, as much as we love a housewife as a traitor, and there’s a lot of those, casting Rob as one was the wrong move. Here’s why.
What’s more generic than a cute white boy that can’t wear a shirt or sleeves? A cute white boy with zero ethics that has no problem stepping on everyone, even after the game ended. Just watch the reunion. The game ended up being very predictable less than halfway thru the season.
Justice for Eric!
Should You Watch It?
Less entertaining than a housewife show, more predictable than a dictatorship. Peacock’s production needs a shakeup. UK franchise is way better.
Where Can I Watch It?
