Spider-Man: Brand New Day [2026] – Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink

Spider-Man: Brand New Day proves that with the right passion, and skills, you can still do a great superhero movie, that is grounded in real life struggles.

Tom Holland is back for the fourth time as Peter Parker. After No Way Home, this is a fresh start for the character where we’re finally seeing a grounded superhero being very successful at that part of his life, while struggling in his personal life. Basically, the opposite of Sam Raimi’s second film.

It’s also a new day for the director. Known best for Shang-Chi and Wonder Man in the MCU, Destin Daniel Cretton brings his distinct action and visual style to this franchise. As a result, Spider-Man is taken to new heights.

From the distinct visual style to amazing action scenes, including with The Hand, Brand New Day brings a completely new feel to the Spider-Man franchise.

With a runtime of over two hours, I didn’t feel it being long, or short, it’s just the right length. Yes, the first ten minutes are on the slower side, it’s very well used to make us feel Peter Parker’s loneliness, and his struggle to have a personal life. Some people will actually cry watching this film. Spoilers aside, MJ makes all the right decisions in this film, and Zendaya is amazing.

Also, it was a very dumb move by Sony, and the marketing team to muzzle Sadie Sink. Sink delivers one of the best performances in the film. Plus, the “reveal” of her character doesn’t serve the movie or move the plot. It just “happens” while everyone already knew who she’s playing. So why the mystery and games? Sink deserves to talk about her character the same as Holland or Zendaya.

Should you watch it?

Yes, this is the best Spider-Man has ever been. A lot of heart, a study about loneliness, and amazing action and fights.
