Dr Death - Season 2 [2023] on Peacock

Dr Death takes season two even further. This international conman might have killed less people than Duntch, but it’s definitely a bigger operation.

With season two of Dr Death, Peacock’s original series leans even more of what made the first season great: A true crime medical with a horrifying story, great case, and great production.

Starring Edgar Ramírez, Mandy Moore and many other great actors, this season brings the recent story of Dr. Paolo Macchiarini to the forefront in a gripping 8 episodes that questions the medical industry and its negligence. All the way up to the Swedish Karolinska Institute, which gives away the Nobel prize for medicine, and is heavily involved in promoting Machiarini, and later covering for him.

Like its predecessor, the series explores the impact of Macchiarini’s deeds on his patients, evoking a profound sense of dread and sorrow as it portrays the diverse lives and aspirations destroyed by his misconduct. This duality of excellence and terror is what distinguishes both the initial season and its sequel.

We, as the general public, often believe that the medical profession is equipped with robust safeguards to protect patients. However, this series consistently reveals that these presumed protections can, at times, fail dramatically.

Should you watch it?

There’s enough scandal and momentum to hold our attention to the climax. Dr. Death is most compelling when it gets at the dark side of the fundamentally unequal relationship between doctor and patient. Season one was almost perfect. Season two is even more horrifying.

Where can I watch it?

You can stream both season of Dr Death exclusively on Peacock in USA and on StackTV in Canada.
