Two years after the original season, Escort Boys is back with more drama, some backstories, and an even deeper into the wonderful world of french country side.
Starring Guillaume Labbé, Thibaut Evrard, Corentin Fila and Simon Ehrlacher, the four men, are again trying to save the “domaine” by raising money as escorts.
The twist this time? Expanding the show’s world with deeper backstories for each character, their own desires, their wishes, their struggles while doing this work, and for what reason.
Even for the main character (played by Guillaume Labbé). We ended on a sort of cliffhanger that evolves this season, but doesn’t fully gets resolved. He really wants to fall in love and have a child, but he’s also worried about the farm. So, what will he do?
Aside from the family background (and Simon Ehrlacher did an amazing job this season with the sub-plot around his mother), the show takes a step back from showing a lot of their escort lives. However, the ones we get to see, are definitely spicier.
There’s a lot to like and dislike in this season. But if we put personal preferences aside, Escort Boys is still a good show about a struggling family in the french countryside. Yes, it’s unrealistic, but it never hurts to see personal development mixed with sexual tensions and visuals.
Give me season 3!
