Ted Lasso – Season Four [2026] on Apple TV

Ted Lasso is back! And he’s as cheery as ever. Season 4 overcomes a rocky start to deliver a heartfelt, hard-won turnaround.

Three years after the last installment, Jason Sudeikis is back as Ted. While the heart of the show is still there, this is easily the series’ weakest installment. It feels more like an amazingly produced money grab that works, then an actual organic progression of the show, with its original heart and plot intact.

It could stand to be tighter, especially the first half of the season, and the off-vibe finale. Not all of these B plots worked for me. Between the original characters, and the new ones, and a bit too much foray into SNL like comedy, the show can feel a bit much, especially around its halfway mid-point. I’d say stick with it till the end, it gets way better. I just hope season five gets a better treatment.

Thing is, if you loved Ted Lasso for its optimism, its sharp wit and its big, bleeding heart, rest easy. You are going to adore this new season. It’s all hugs and empowering. However, it lacks the charm and X factor of its previous outings.

Should you watch it?

Same spirit as season one, but the faces are mostly familiar. Season four picks up a couple of years after the last time we saw Ted, still as positive as ever.

Where can I watch it?
