Coyote vs. Acme [2026] - Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor

Coyote vs. Acme enters the animated canon as a vital work with its thumb of the pulse of Hollywood. Not perfect, but very close.

Starring Will Forte, Lana Condor, and most of the Looney Toons, this film had a rough time coming to the silver screen. Initially shelved by WB for a tax write off, I’m glad it was saved by Ketchup Entertainment so we can have a slice of fun in this grim world.

While WB actively tried to destroy the Cartoon Network and the looney toons brands, this film takes what works, and what we love, and blends it with the soul of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Remember that one?

A blend of animated characters and live action, Forte plays a reluctant lawyer essentially defending the rights of cartoon characters. Imitating real life, powerful forces want to squash it. It cooks on many levels. It’s chaotic like a Looney Tunes film, but it also has themes that surprise you like friendship, camaraderie, and getting justice when you’re wronged. While not Laugh Out Loud, the film is funny as hell, and I seriously hope that the new owners of WB understand the value of the franchise. Even though I have my doubts.

The fact that Coyote vs. Acme even exists is a miracle and a testament to the power of filmmaking. Is it a masterpiece? No, but its infectious humor and charm make for an entertaining experience that has plenty of laughs for audiences of all ages.
