Adults – Season Two [2026] on FX/Hulu/Disney Plus

Season 2 of Adults demonstrates that this is the sitcom that best manages to harness the madness of our new routine life, to create humor that hits hard.

To be honest, I started this season with low expectations. I expected the show to stay in maintenance mode, with some light Gen Z antics that go down easy. By the end, I felt genuinely invested in where the whole gang will go from here, in ways I haven’t felt in a while.

Thing is, I watch a lot of shows and films for this blog, and I dislike most of them. A lot of the current productions in the streaming era feel more like a chore to watch as content, and miss the mark when it comes to charm, and story. However, this is not one of them.

It’s silly but well-acted, puerile but clever, and I defy you not to come away charmed by these characters and their sincere bonds of affection. It’s genuinely laugh-out-loud funny but doesn’t try too hard to impart lessons. Yes, it has lessons, sometimes too many lessons, but it doesn’t feel like it’s pushed down your throat.

After a rocky first season, I’m happy to report that the show is grown up. It’s no longer trying to prove how relevant, cool and unique it is, it is a much more assured, funny and charming comedy – a lesson we all learn at some point in our 20s.

Should You Watch It?

Season two of FX’s Adults takes the show to its next level. Does it always land? No. Is it hilariously funny? Definitely. Can’t wait for the next season.
