Hacks is still delivering three seasons later. Funnier, campier, and certainly crazier. Give them all the awards, and late-night spots! #NoSpoilers
Even after the great first and second seasons, there’s clearly more here. Deborah Vance’s (Jean Smart) & Ava Daniel’s (Hannah Einbinder) relationship is the heart of this show. Yes, they’re both at their peaks, but they can’t stay away from each other.
Thankfully, this season pushes the show even further. We get to know more about what motivates Deborah and Ava, but sadly, we also see the secondary characters pushed away. Surprise! you can only do so much in nine 30 minute episodes.
Don’t get me wrong! The show is great. It’s what every comedy show should aspire to be to be honest. I’m selfish.
I just wanted more drama, camp, queerness (I love me some Johnny Sibilly), and certainly more diva from Jean Smart. Gosh, the woman waited long enough. Give her whatever she wants!
Without any spoilers, that final episode of the season was magical. Can’t wait for the fourth season (please don’t make me wait) and the catfight between the two stars. This show keeps on getting better with each season.
Should You Watch It?
With its third season, Hacks continues to speak our language. The show hits its stride in a third season that’s even better than the first two. A story with real pathos and raw emotions about how people connect, and don’t connect. Can’t wait to continue the story next year.
Where Can I Watch It?
