Margo's Got Money Troubles - Season One [2026] on Apple TV

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a tightly constructed tale about modern motherhood, OnlyFans economy, and more.

Starring Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and others, the show is a light dark comedy that knows exactly how to take a bunch of common tropes—complicated mother–daughter relationships, the highs and lows of addiction and recovery, the harsh realities of young parenting—and turn them into something greater.

However, the actors that shine for me are Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman. While Michelle Pfeiffer is great as usual, Offerman’s performance as the washed-up wrestler and recovering drug addict surprised me; his Jinx is both brawny and vulnerable.

Thing is, watching a cast of this caliber is never a chore, but still, there is a lingering sense that there was a bolder show in here, one that has had its shine polished away.

Overall, the show has a great potential that’s bubbling down but fails to rise to the surface in this season. For a single mother trying to survive by doing OnlyFans and fighting with her baby daddy, Fanning is just a bit too pulled together in the role as if she’s trying on the sex worker’s costumes instead of truly embodying her. she felt more like a nepo baby who’s shoed into the job, than the baby of a single mother who’s now a single mother.

It’s got charm, and it’s endearing if you’re not allergic to the schmaltz just begging to break through the surface. But, with the three main talents involved, it could have been so much more.
