Film: Stop! That! Train! [2026] – RuPaul, Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes

Stop That Train! is stupid. In all the good ways. It’s a campy movie that uses Drag Race stars, to make a parody for everyone.

Starring RuPaul, a selection of Drag Race stars, and a lot of cameos, Stop! That! Train! knows that it’s stupid. It doesn’t take itself seriously thankfully, and that’s what makes it work.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a fan of RuPaul, and his one note acting that recycles the same exact things over and over again until you hate them. Thankfully, these things are limited here to the second half of the film.

On the other side, the film leans all the way into its campiness. The aesthetic is excess, the mood is raunchy, and the vibe is a tongue-in-cheek pushing so far that it might result in a new piercing. Dumb jokes, celebrity cameos, and real talk, a lot of the very same gags we got used to from World Of Wonder. Let’s be honest, we got a lot of the very same jokes as Drag Race. It’s like a 90 minutes long acting challenge.

Thankfully, the cast, including the cameos, know it. Just keep an eye on Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Does it require any ounce of IQ to watch? Nope. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I watch it again? On streaming. If you’re a Drag Race fan, you’ll enjoy this production made for fan servicing. Director Adam Shankman whose most successful film was Hairspray (2007) brings that same feeling and look to this film… In fact, this film might be the result of Airplane! and Hairspray having a baby.
