Welcome to Wrexham is peak Ryan Reynolds. Cross promoting his endeavors while doing good for the community around him. Loved every single bit.
Well, if you haven’t heard, Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney bought a football club during COVID. Actual football not the north American one. And after the first season of this documentary series, everyone on that team, and everyone in Wrexham, became famous.
The first season was good, but honestly, it felt a bit desperate and forced. This season feels more natural, fluid, and focuses a lot more on the individuals instead of the brand.
We got to know the people behind the club, and the people who are fans. Personally, I learned some british slang, and gestures (NSFW). But overall, I’m happy that the team is getting what they deserved.
In fact, FX, Hulu, and Disney have already renewed it for a third season, and I can’t wait to get to know more about Welsh culture, remember why I used to watch the World Cup and get excited about football. Plus, it also helps to have cute men flexing on TV.
Should You Watch It?
Light, entertaining, and educational. A perfect watch for sports and british fans during a rainy weekend or evening.
Where Can I Watch It?
You can stream both seasons of Welcome to Wrexham exclusively on Hulu in USA and on Disney+ everywhere else.
