Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile [2022] – Javier Bardem, Winslow Fegley, Shawn Mendes
A pleasant surprise, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile made me smile, a lot. It might be the perfect film to snuggle on the sofa.

Brando el Sharq – براندو الشرق – Season One [2023]
Brando el Sharq is a decent Lebanese series on MBC’s Shahid. But the dramady falls into familiar tropes that make it difficult to watch.
Jerry and Marge Go Large [2022] – Bryan Cranston, Annette Bening
Jerry and Marge Go Large could have been even better by investing in its tremendously talented stars and outlandish fact-based story.
The Bear – Season One [2022]
The Bear was honestly a pleasant surprise that triggers anxiety. A hidden study in processing grief. Can’t wait for the second season.
Cocaine Bear [2023] – Ray Liotta, Keri Russell, Margo Martindale
Cocaine Bear was surprising. Like a bear on cocaine, the move is crazy fun with some shocking scenes…in a clever way.
Bad Sisters – Season One [2022]
Bad Sisters on Apple TV+ is an Irish series that grows on you. Rough in the beginning, addictive halfway through, with a surprising outcome.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance [2023] – Salma Hayek, Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer
Magic Mike didn’t need his last dance. Warner Bros should have kept the franchise alone and not ruin it with this slow and cheap disaster.
Shotgun Wedding [2022] – Jennifer Lopez, Josh Duhamel, Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Coolidge
Shotgun Wedding has a good reason for putting Jennifer Coolidge at the center. She saved the movie from being a total disaster.
The Mosquito Coast – Season Two [2022]
The Mosquito Coast is the definition of how to ruin a great show with a mediocre second season.
Halo – Season One [2022]
Halo, the series is a decent watch for video games lovers. I’ve never played the games, but I really enjoyed the show…mostly.
Black Bird – Limited Series [2022]
Black Bird was surprisingly good and creepy. It starts as a regular crime show, but halfway through, you can’t but get creeped out.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania [2023] – Paul Rudd, Jonathan Majors, Evangeline Lilly
Quantumania is the 31st movie from Marvel Studios. It certainly has a future thanks to a powerful performance by Jonathan Majors.
The People We Hate at the Wedding [2022] – Allison Janney, Ben Platt, Kristen Bell
The People We Hate at the Wedding is a movie that I was expecting to hate. Yet, somehow, I actually really enjoyed it!
