Movies
Quick movie, film, and documentary reviews from all around the world by and for the regular audience.
Spirited [2022] – Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer
Spirited might not be the best Christmas movie out there, but it certainly has enough heart, and comedy, to leave its mark.
The Greatest Beer Run Ever [2022]
If anything, The Greatest Beer Run Ever highlights two things: War is bad, and white people can be super dumb.
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special [2022]
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special shines a Christmas light on Mantis and Drax who steal the show.
Dog [2022] – Channing Tatum
Dog is far from original, but a solid narrative and great chemistry makes for a fetching movie and viewing experience.
Leave No Trace [2022]
Leave No Trace investigates the claims of sexual abuse that exposed the failure of the Boy Scouts of America to protect their young Scouts.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever [2022] – Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta, Letitia Wright
Wakanda Forever delivers on Marvel Studios’ promise of a tribute to Chadwick Boseman and an end to Phase 4.
Ticket to Paradise [2022] – George Clooney, Julia Roberts
Ticket to Paradise is only watchable thanks to the chemistry between George Clooney & Julia Roberts.
Black Adam [2022] – Dwayne Johnson, Sarah Shahi, Pierce Brosnan
Black Adam is another overhyped DC comics movie with clear influence by the new guard at Warner Bros Discovery.
DC League of Super-Pets [2022] – Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon
DC League of Super-Pets can teach Marvel Studios a thing or two about making an animated movie which doesn’t need to save the world.
Operation Mincemeat [2021] – Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen
Operation Mincemeat is a great british movie about a british operation with some british drama and british comedy.
Bros [2022] – Billy Eichner, Luke Macfarlane
Bros, at its core, is an interesting movie. Yet, I couldn’t get over how annoying Billy Eichner’s performance was.
Marvel Studios’ Werewolf By Night [2022]
Werewolf By Night is definitely the most “thrilling” of all the Marvel Studios’ outings so far. Yet, for some reason, I expected more.
Hocus Pocus 2 [2022] – Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy
Hocus Pocus 2 is a fun comedic movie following the original one from 1993.
